Hi my name is Randi and YES I actually do live in Costa Rica! And just as you can imagine, it is a pretty amazing place to live! I get to wake up in the mornings to birds singing all around us and sometimes we hear the monkeys howling, and I start every morning with a smooth cup of Costa Rican coffee and usually some type of fresh fruit for breakfast, typically papaya, mango, pineapple, or banana. Then I take my dog, Lucky, a black lab rescue that showed up on our doorstep, on a walk on the beautiful white sand of Flamingo beach. My day usually consists of touring properties, responding to client emails and phone calls and helping my beloved clients either find their perfect home, investment property or help them get the best price for their property before they move on to their next adventure outside of Costa Rica.
Born and raised in the historic southern city of Baton Rouge, I am a Louisiana girl through and through. I love the LSU Fighting Tigers and college football, mardi gras, crawfish, southern hospitality and everything else that makes Louisiana the beautiful state that it is. After a decade of a successful engineering career I decided I no longer wanted to be part of the never quite satisfying rat race and began my search for my next adventure.
I now live in the beautiful Playa Flamingo Costa Rica, and have for nearly a year. It has been an amazing experience living here and I can happily say it really has become my new home. Playa Flamingo is such a wonderful small town type of community with a beautiful mix of Costa Rican natives and expatriates from the United States, Canada, and all over the world. Our community has a very wide age range, from retires to families with children to young and middle aged entrepreneurs. This is a community where everyone knows each other and are consistently involved in all sorts of community events. Playa Flamingo has some of the best weather in all of Costa Rica and with us located along the Gold Coast there are so many activities that I love to do regularly, such as; snorkeling, fishing, sailing, biking hiking, and all other sorts of adventures.
I would love to answer any questions you may have about Costa Rica, what it is like living here, and inform you all about the local real estate market. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give me a call or shoot me an email, I would love to help you out however I can.
